The Wakuwafu Award

Hello Lovers! ❤

I got another award. 😁😁😁

Yes! I did. 😀

And it is a very special one too.

A big, big, big THANK YOU to wakuwafu for nominating me for this very considerate and sweet award, “The Wakuwafu Award“.

The idea behind this award is to motivate other fellow bloggers and to act as a token of appreciation. When the award is awarded, they will be posting a link to the nominated blog on their own website, so that people can actually find those blogs. They feel that there are so many awesome people to chat with who are blogging too and it can be hard to find people easily, so through this people who want to find new bloggers can do so more easily- just comment on the Wakuwafu award page when you receive it and they will put up a link to your blog.

Click here to read more and make sure to follow this wonderful page full of talented writers. They will introduce to this whole new world of anime and everything related. 😍 🙂

  • Thank the person who has nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
  • Choose any 3 things you would like to say about yourself to your fellow bloggers.
  • Think up 3 questions you would like to ask the people you nominate.
  • Give one piece of advice to your fellow bloggers.
  • Make sure to tell them over here that you have been nominated (and/ or completed the award) so that they can put your blog up on the wakuwafu page. Make sure to put down your blog in the comments section.

Three things I would like to tell my fellow bloggers:

(This is going to be really random. Just going to blurt it out. Okay? :P)

1) I am crushing bad over this South Korean actor so hard. 😛 Lee Min Ho, you own me. 😍

2) I believe that one can also live their life on their own. No partner, no love or even friends. There is so much to read, watch, travel and see. Art could be your companion for life. At least that is what my plan is. 😉

3) I have a dream of getting published one day. Let’s see. 😀

Three questions for the nominees:

1) What does your fantasy world look like?

2) If you could live one person’s life as your own, who would that person be?

3) Your one ultimate wish?

One piece of advice:

(I wrote this one a while ago after noticing some blogs. So, lets just say…it’s a blogging tip. 😉 )

I recently came through many blogs that use a background image. Which is alright. I love background images. But what you have to keep in check is that the text color should be contrasting so that your text can be decipherable.

Like, if you are using a dark background, the text color should be light and a contracting shade. And vice versa for a light background. Also, the color should be contrasting. This is very, very important. Like for a blue background, May be use yellow, or pink or any other contrasting color.

Your beautiful posts should never go ignored because of this small mistake which can easily be fixed.

I am all for background images and beautiful colors but the text should be readable.

Thank you so much for reading this and fixing the problem (I pointed this to a few bloggers I came across recently. 🙂 )

Happy blogging! 😁

(If you see any problem with my blog, then please point it out. I will be very grateful and happy that you care. 🙂 )

My nominees:

Himali Shah

The beautiful blogger award

I was nominated by ever so charming Ayushi Joshi, who can kill you with her cuteness, for ‘The beautiful blogger award‘. 😉 She is incredibly talented and funny. Check out her blog, you will thoroughly enjoy it. 😀

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you.
  • List seven random things about yourself.
  • Nominate seven bloggers.

7 random facts about me:

I am a pathetic cook. I can’t cook or make bread for my life. Urgh! I don’t know. 😦 This really makes me sad sometimes and I already pity my future husband. 😛

The only hairdo I know is to keep my hair loose. 😛 I can’t braid or even know to put a hair tie properly. My hair reaches my waist, so they are pretty long and lush.
But I can do nothing to flaunt them. 😦

I can’t cut fruits too or infact anything. 😛 The way I attempt to cut them…oh.. 😛 It’s embarrassing. 🙈 A kid would never ever eat his fruits cut and peeled in such ludicrous shapes by me. 😿

I can be easily distracted. I have the weakest concentration ever manageable. 😦

I am learning a new language, Spanish, these days. 😉

I am going to publish atleast one book in my life. Even if it is the most ridiculous writing ever. Even if I will have to self publish it. Even if I would be knowing that no one would ever read or like that. But I will.
It’s my dream. To have atleast one published book and I am going to fulfill it. I know, a long way to go but I will get there…oneday. 🙂

Ah! The 7th fact is that I am finding it really hard to write. 😛 Talking or revealing facts about you is hard. 😓 Specially when most of them reveals your negative personality traits. 😛 I try to keep it classy but gosh, who am I kidding? 😛 The fact is fact. And no one is perfect, right? 😉

My nominees:
{I am breaking a rule here. 😉 }

I nominate all of you beautiful, incredible and talented followers who have given me so much in the last 6 months. It has been a splendid journey till now and hope it will be more awesomesauce in the future.
Your love and support is addicting. And I can’t thank y’all enough for all the compassion you showered.
You are all beautiful souls and you all matter. This planet is wonderful because of your presence. ❤
Much love :-*

❤ THANK YOU!!! ❤

Brotherhood of the world bloggers award

Hey! I am Bro now. 8D

Two incredible bloggers nominated me for ‘Brotherhood of the world bloggers award‘. One is this very beautiful artist, Kritika VashistYou should check out her blog, she puts her soul into the words and trust me the outcome is overwhelmingly beautiful.

The other is, Ashish Kumar. A very passionate writer who knows how to balance reality and imagination. 🙂

You should check out their blogs. Trust me you won’t be sorry. 🙂

Rules: 1) Thank and link back to the person who nominated you for the award.
2) List the rules and display the ‘Brotherhood of the world bloggers award’ logo to your post and/or blog.
3) Answer the questions set to you and then you may create your set of questions for your nominees.
4) Nominate around ten other bloggers and let them know about the award.

Kritika Vashist’s:

1. You are given the responsibility to bring global peace, how will you do that? I will quote Mahatma Gandhi here, “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” I would like to make my actions an example for people to be kind and peaceful. 🙂

2. Did blogging improve your life in any way? Oh! You have no ideaReading other people’s thoughts and sharing your own could be a very insightful and liberating journey. It made me more understanding, introspective and thoughtful.

3. You can do anything you want for 3 hours, what would you do? That’s a no brainer. Read! Definitely,I will do more reading.  😀

4. Reading or writing, given you’ll be paid for reading? For me, sometimes reading is more liberating. I sometimes have a hard time with my wayward thoughts. They go haywire. Jumping, running and hiding here and there. To bring them under control, I read. Reading is my antidote and also an inspiration to write more.

5. An idea of a perfect life? I don’t believe in perfection. For me, imperfect is perfect. I like the bumps and slopes. Plain, steadiness is boring.

6. You can travel back in time, what year you would choose and why? Ah! the 90s. Definitely, the 90s. 😀 I loved the simpler but so very simple life. People actually talked to each other and paid attention. The fashion was good and affordable. Great tv shows, more decency, less crime and inflation. No obsession with the phoney life, photo shops and social image.  Less traffic, people were more trusting, better organic goods, lesser adulteration. Great songs, music and culture. Cassettes and tape recorders. Better cartoon shows and news channels. Do I need to say more? I am getting nostalgic now. 😦

7. Space, Solitude, Silence. Choose one and why? Solitude – And to answer why I will quote Thoreau here “I never found a companion that was so companionable as solitude.‘ This thought resonates with my feelings. 🙂

8. Is there life elsewhere in universe? O, I don’t even doubt it. There definitely is. Some happier than us and some more miserable, if that is even possible. :p

9. You have to plan a surprise for your best friend, but you are broke. What will you plan? I have always believed in personalized gestures more. Even if I am gifting something, I make sure it has their personal taste and liking.  Or something they always wanted to have but along with it, I make sure to write a personal letter and a handmade greeting card or something to make them feel more valued and special. 😀

So, this time, with no money, I will just do that and may be write a diary filled with the story of our friendship and all the shenanigans. :p

10. One of your friends, with whom you were not in contact for many years, meets you somewhere and starts cursing you. How will you tackle the situation? Wouldn’t that be normal? Who talks with friends with no ‘sentence enhancers’? :p I will probably laugh, reply with something more offensive, give my friend a bear hug and then will spank her hard for not contacting me for all those years. 😉

Ashish Kumar’s:

1. What kind of person you are. Introvert, extrovert or ambivert?I am a very distinct ambivert.

2.  Who is your source of inspiration? Mostly nature and the people around me. It only depends how you perceive things. Even a random dust particle seen in clear light can inspire something in the mind. 🙂

3.  The most happiest moment of your life. I think that is yet to come and when it will, I will announce it to the world. 😀

4.   What legacy would you like to leave. I try to do good and show kindness & understanding with each passing day by making mistakes and learning more. May be this attitude of mine, will be my legacy for someone…one day. 🙂

5.  Your most beautiful imagination so far. That one day, this whole wide world will actually be kind and loving towards every living and non living soul. Rid of this ego and greed. Not a slave but a master of their minds. 🙂

6.  Favourite quote. “There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed.”
Ernest Hemingway

7. Hobbies other than blogging. Reading, reading and reading. 😀 And sometimes, I take a break by watching some movies or series. :p

My answers:

1. If you could meet anyone from throughout history. Who and why?

That would be Anne Frank, the writer of The Diary of a Young GirlI can never forget how I felt when I was reading her diary. She was so young, creative, talented, emotionally strong, wise, appreciative, focused, enduring, interesting, intelligent, mature… ( the train of adjectives will never come to an end. She was so many things and so much more)

I admire her so much. She is a huge inspiration to me.

“The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quite alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature. As longs as this exists, and it certainly always will, I know that then there will always be comfort for every sorrow, whatever the circumstances may be. And I firmly believe that nature brings solace in all troubles.” ― Anne Frank, The Diary of a Young Girl

2. What is your favourite book and why?

I love such books that just shake your soul badly, that gives you a huge glimpse into human nature and psychology. That how complicated and twisted we are but still ends by flourishing a hope in you. There is one book that offered all these things to me , The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini.

And this one line of the book just  wriggle my heart, tugss at it, leave it with nothing but then inflate it with just one thing, hope.

“For you, a thousand times over.”

3. Who is your favourite fiction character from any medium and why?

That would be Dean Holder from Colleen Hoover‘s book Hopeless.

I have read many, many fictional books from many different genres but whatever I read, I have always found a problem with all the characters. Some are downright diabolic villains but some are heroes of the book. I don’t know sometimes its a single trait of them, a single action or a single line or judgement they pass that just puts me off. But this character of Dean Holder, despite of being so young, was just so perfect. I cannot put my finger on anything about him that I didn’t  like. He was perfection. Always knew what to do and said all the right things. 🙂

My questions:

1) Who is/are the starlight of your life?

2) Emotional strength or physical strength? Who is stronger and why?

3) Your life’s motto?

My nominees:

I love all my followers. They all have lovely and very interesting blogs.

I just nominated some followers who had been with me in the very beginning of my journey and some randomly. How do you choose just 6 nominees from a fabulous list of followers?

Y’all can check the nominated blogs. They are simply awesome and a source of my inspiration. 🙂

Many of you might already have been nominated or have a no award policy. So, you can skip this. It’s cool. 🙂

Thank you notes :D

Hello, Lovers!

This post is all about a million thanks and big appreciations for your thoughtfulness of remembering and including me for the nominations of these prestigious awards and other challenges, which I treasure with all my heart . 😀
Y’all are too kind and nice.
Again, thank you all for your generosity. I am blessed to have met such an awesome community of bloggers, here.

Sometimes, I get nominated for the same award twice, thrice or more times. Or challenged to complete a task more than one time. I was thinking about what to do about it.
Was posting about the same thing again and again right? But it would not be fair to not to personally thank the person who thought of nominating you too. That would be rude, right?
So, I thought of forming this page, just for the thank you notes. 😀
I will still be doing all the awards and challenges because I love them. They get me all very excited and jumpy. 😉 I will just not be posting about the awards/challenges that I have already done but will do post a thank you note for the nominator. 🙂

It’s only been about five months that I started this blog and I have five awards, already. And this one is sixth. 😀 Am I excited? Am I exhilarated? Am I on cloud nine? Well, no phrase or adjective can cover how overwhelmed I am feeling right now.

This blog is my baby. I never thought that I would make new friends here so soon and have a long list of readers. I thought that it will go unnoticed. But the support, love and motivation that you lovers have given me, I have no words that can express my gratitude towards you. All I will say is that I love you all and this little blog world here, is my home.

Nicole, has bestowed me with ‘The sisterhood of the world award’. Her blog consists of beautiful poetry and short stories that will make you fall in love with her writing. She writes with no inhibitions, only true from her heart. Make sure you follow her. You will thank me later. 😉

– Add the award logo to your blog.

– Answer the questions asked by the nominator.

– Nominate 5 bloggers.

– Ask 10 questions of your own.

1. What is that one movie that you can’t get enough of?

A) P S I love you. It’s my favorite love story. I fill buckets of tears every time I watch this movie.

2. Who is/are your favorite person/peeps?

A) Geminis! 😛 I don’t know, I have never hated a Gemini. I actually fall in love with them, instantly. 😉

3. Beauty or brains?

A) Brains! Beauty will fade with time but a beautiful mind will always be a good company for life. 🙂

4. What are the characteristics of your ideal man?

A) Great sense of humor.

Would never lie and keep no secrets.

Emotionally strong.

5. What is your favorite quote and why?

A) If a person has ugly thoughts, it begins to show on the face. And when that person has ugly thoughts every day, every week, every year, the face gets uglier and uglier until you can hardly bear to look at it. A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts it will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely. — Roald Dahl, The Twits

6. What was your family like growing up?

A) They were always very loving, supportive and together. 🙂 My father is my idol. He is the best and I am my daddy’s girl. 😀

7. What’s it like when you had the best date of your life?

A) I guess that is yet to come.

8. If you’re a student what do you study (course)?

A) I am done with my engineering. 🙂

9. What is your favorite flower?

A) Roses.

10. Do you agree that love is blind? Why or why not?

A) It is sometimes but that is very unhealthy kind of love and doesn’t last long. I believe in open eyed, intelligent and true kind of love. Where you both know each other’s faults, mistakes and where one stands but still love each other. There is an understanding of why one did that and a promise to make compromises and amends.

I believe in the kind of love where there is a room to learn and grow, & no repetition of same mistakes. The kind of love with emotional strength and logic.

There is this quote by Tammara Webber which I love, ‘Love is not the absence of logic but logic examined and recalculated, heated and curved to fit inside the contours of the heart’. This is the kind of love I believe in. 🙂

Liebster Award

Hello Lovers! ❤

I am thrilled to have been honored by this prestigious award by this very jovial, sweet and extremely talented gentleman Jerrod Anielle. Thank you so much for this award and adding a new word to my word stock. 😀 Y’all should check out his wonderful blog. You will thank me later, trust me. 😉

Liebster is German and means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome. This award is given to up and coming bloggers to encourage them to continue their work. Blogger awards are such a great way to learn more about your fellow bloggers and they also act as a big motivation to post more wonderful posts. ;D

  • Once you are nominated, make a post thanking and linking the person who nominated you.
  • Include the Liebster Award sticker in the post too.
  • Nominate 5 – 11 other bloggers who you feel are worthy of this award. Let them know they have been nominated by commenting on one of their posts. You can also nominate the person who nominated you.
  • Ensure all of these bloggers have less than 200 followers.
  • Answer the ten questions asked to you by the person who nominated you, and make eleven questions of your own for your nominees.
  • Lastly, copy these rules in the post.

1Q) Is WordPress your first blogging platform to use?

1A) Yes. As it’s very user-friendly, easy and has so many useful features. I love it here. 😀

2Q) What is your favorite hobby?

2A) I love to read. And I can read anything and everything. Any kind, any type, any genre, no bar on it. 🙂 I won’t actually call it a hobby it is more of an interest or you can say an activity I survive on. 😉 And if I am not reading, I am watching some Hollywood tv show or blogging. 😛 These three things take most of my daily time and leave no time for hobbies.

3Q) Favorite food?

3A) Kidney beans cooked in gravy and served with boiled rice and curd. ❤  My mouth is watering, already. 😛

4Q) What is your childhood dream?

4A) I have always been inclined towards art and nature. I don’t know I just wanted to be someone who will just be dealing with these two things through life.

5Q) Share a blog that you like the most?

5A) Hands down, it is Humans of New York by Brandon Stanton. 🙂  You will have to check the blog, to actually understand what I am talking about. 😉

6Q) Favorite YouTuber?

6A) IISuperwomanII. I love her energy and candid nature. And she is actually very funny, innovative and talented. I love her videos. She is the true example of facing your fears and braving the world.

7Q) What book will you recommend to me?

7A) Oh, Jerrod, there are so many. 😛

Now, I know you love John Green so I would recommend ‘Looking for Alaska’ that is my favorite book of his.

If you want to read a combination of slam poetry and romance then do read ‘Slammed series’ by Colleen Hoover. I love all of her books.

If you want to read a book discussing the war between the conscience of a man and to know more about middle eastern history, read ‘Kite Runner’ by Khaled Hosseini.

If you are a lover of poetry or even if you are not, go read ‘Love and misadventure’ by Leang Leav. Makes you fall in love with poetry. 😻

And as I recently finished, ‘The diary of a young girl’ by Anne Frank, I will recommend this too because I absolutely fell in love with her writing, her expressions, how she recollected her struggles and fought them with her never dying courage and strong character. She was something, really.

( Gosh! Too many books? 😛 At any moment I am atleast thinking about 5 books. I just love to read and have a long list of favorite books. How could I recommend just one? 😉 )

8Q) What is your nationality?

8A) Indian. 🙂

9Q) If you are to make a quote, what is it?

9A) “No matter how much difficult a situation is, friends and family will only be there for so long, in the end it will be just you to brave the world on your own. So, be independent & strong enough, physically but more of emotionally. You’ve got this!”

10Q) If you are to make a book, what is the title and what it is about? Also, give a summary about it.

10A) The book will be about the situation of a girl child in India. She is actually one of the three daughters to a lower middle class family with modern thinking. But as she grows, they struggle to keep their views in check with the new formed vision about women. But the problems, harassment and discrimination she faces in the so called opeb minded Indian society makes the situation more difficult and has them thinking.

And then something happens, that they never in their worst dark nightmare would have seen it coming. Now, would it destroy and pull all the threads holding her existence or would she fight back and make the world to bow down?

The title of the book might be ‘The third daughter’.

The Versatile Blogger Award

The Versatile Blogger Award

This is my first ever award. I am very, very excited. I have seen many bloggers posting several blog awards on their blogs and I would always think… one day I will have one (or may be many 😉 ) too. 😀 And today this fabulous little lady, who writes many inspiring and lovely posts, nominated me for “The Versatile Blogger Award” and gave me my first ever chance of winning this award. I can’t thank you enough Lea.

I am feeling like a tiny, giggling and over energized school girl. I am actually jumping on my bed right now. 😀 I don’t know about you but this surely is a huge deal for me. I am a new and first time blogger; that could be one of the reasons for this. I am smiling ear to ear. 😀 Yay!

    The rules:

  • Show the award on your blog.
  • Thank the person who nominated you.
  • Share 7 facts about yourself.
  • Nominate 15 blogs.
  • Link your nominees’ blogs, and let them know. 🙂

Facts about me:

# I have never been on a plane or a train, yet.

Yes, this is true. You have no idea how much I want to travel in these two means of transports. Also, I am very weak on the vocabulary related to these means of transports. 😛 My friends even pull my leg about this little case of me. It’s just that I have never really traveled much far away from home. So, it’s just cars, scooters, bikes or buses for me. But one day I will. 🙂

# I love painting my nails with ten (sometimes more 😉 ) different colors at a time.

I just love colors. I love everything vibrant and colorful. I have a huge, huge collection of nail paints. I guess I have about 200 nail paint bottles with different colors and some nail art pens too. I was very popular in my class for painting my nails with different colors. And the surprising thing is, out of these 200 nail paints I might have bought just 30 or 40 of the bottles by myself. Rest all are gifts from my friends and family. They know how much I love colors. ;D

# I love, love, love chilly. ❤

I love hot, spicy and chilly food. 😀 I find my platter bland without chilly in it. I get this from my father. Whenever I am out with my friends, they are surprised to see a girl eating chilly laden food with not a single sip of water with it. ;P Chilly is my dessert. 8D

# I do not follow any religion.

I am a highly spiritual person who believes in one God. But i do not recognize myself with any religion. Whenever I want to talk to God or miss him, I just speak to him or remember him by closing my eyes and sitting in meditation. And he always answers. He just gives all the answers to my questions, helps me realize why certain thing happened with me, he is always there to help and I feel him with me always. You call it faith or whatever but all I know is that I am one of his favorite children. He loves me unconditionally. 🙂

# It’s been about 10 years that I have touched a soft drink.

Yes, no Coke, Pepsi, Sprite, 7up … just no soft drinks for me. 🙂 I read about this once in high school that how unhealthy they are. I never actually liked the taste of it. So, I decided to break free from the habit all at once. So, not my only liquid intakes are: water (not refrigerated water), lime or mint & cucumber water, fresh juice, milk, green tea. That is all. 🙂

 # I am not a morning person.

I am a night person though. 😉 My mind is hyperactive at nights. And insomnia is my best friend. Though I can wake up at ungodly hours if there is an exam, class or an emergency at just one single call. 🙂

# I have a serious case of book reading addiction.

I just butterflying live and love books. 😀 And I can read anything and everything. I don’t stuck myself with a single genre. I love exploring new authors and love to read the books that no one else is reading. Books are like blood to my veins. They keep me sane. 🙂
